An available light shot inside the Aspect Radio studio. The gear list includes: 3 Technics SL-1200 turntables and 2 Denon DN-HS5500 CDJs all going into a 3 channel Rane Rotary Empath mixer. My Macintop is perched on top of one of the 1200s, but in this shot I'm not running Traktor. I've had some issues with Traktor and OS 10.6, so I've temporarily gone back to spinning CDs. The 5500s were strange for me and took some serious getting used to. By the end of the night I was mostly, if not completely, comfortable with them. The light source was dozen or so LED par cans scattered throughout the room. They were controlled via DMX-512, and kept changing color and intensity. This made taking a picture with an F/4 zoom a nontrivial task. The green and red spots are from a diffraction grating laser.

all of my roommates are out tonight. adrienne and eric are playing a yacht themed show at the biltmore and matt has gone to a party.

i spent my evening in the bath, candles, shaved my legs for the first time since probably april and just pampered myself while listening to vetiver.

today i ate fried rice, spoke to jarrod on video chat, went for a bike ride to queen elizabeth park and walked around for awhile and then rode down cambie where i bought cilantro, an onion, and three limes for $1.80 and when i stepped outside to unlock my bike i found two dollars. amazing.

rode down a bunch of steep hills down to the seawall where i sat under a tree watching the sun slowly set and then headed home to make dinner.

now i am clean, calm, about to make tea, and feeling, well. sexy.

I am taking photography at Fanshawe College in London, and part of our tuition for the program pays for us getting MacBook Pros to use during the school programs duration. This is mine -- I got it today. Top of the line -- fastest MacBook Apple makes.

I am happy.. Though I wish it was actually MINE. (The upside, is that next year -- if Apple updates anything -- we'll get the update on our next year laptops!)
